The Organic Impact of Trauma Series

ARE YOU TRAUMA-INFORMED?

Chronic stress and anxiety causes an overabundance of the hormones Cortisol and Epinephrine (Adrenaline) and are among the leading causes of heart disease and death in America. They can also cause your brain to LITERALLY rewire itself to adapt to the “abnormal” environment.

Learn more about stress-related illnesses and what you can do to prevent them in our exciting new training series, The Organic Impact of Trauma. All courses can be designed to fit the specific needs of each organization or individual, and Continuing Education credits are available.

The Organic Impact of Trauma series includes:

Creating A Trauma-Informed Workplace:

The Creating a Trauma-Informed Workplace program, is designed to strengthen a trauma victim’s ability to maintain employment, while also enabling employers to cut costs through employee retention and reduced absenteeism.

Employment allows one to fully participate in society. However, finding and maintaining employment is one of the most difficult challenges faced by trauma survivors. This training provides valuable information on the employment issues encountered by adult survivors of trauma.

The considerable prevalence of trauma, along with the little known depletion of overall health due to its long-term side effects, is one of the most rapidly increasing issues facing employers today. Studies show that trauma-related issues cost U.S. employers more money each year than all other absenteeism combined.

The Changing Perceptions, Creating a Trauma-Informed Workplace program provides valuable information to both employers and employees and is designed to be a platform on which to build an open line of communication intended to:

  • Increase employee retention
  • Improve employee satisfaction
  • Improve the overall short and long-term health of employees throughout the company
  • Cut costs for employers due to absenteeism, training costs caused by the need for employee replacement, and long-term trauma-related disabilities
